[p=text-align: justify;][font face="verdana,geneva" size="2"]Joslin researchers have discovered the old debate that insulin could promote the buildup of cholesterol in our blood vessels that then can cause coronary artery disease and stroke is no longer valid - well in mice at least.[/font][/p][p=text-align: justify;][font face="verdana,geneva" size="2"]Their research has shown that insulin instead protects the blood vessels. They are hoping to prove that in human test subjects it will show that prescribing insulin to patients with diabetes is not such an evil thing (I have many Type 2 friends that refuse to go on insulin - depite having high A1C's and elevated blood sugars due to only being on pill medication). [/font][/p][p=text-align: justify;][font face="verdana,geneva" size="2"]So, perhaps my being an insulin whore (I am a Type 1 diabetic of 43 years) hasn't been such a bad thing?
