[br]I came across a clinical trial today at this website ( http://cctn.jdrf.ca/ ) which if you're interested you can also sign up for. This latest study is a 3-week trial where 20 participants will be wearing an insulin pump and CGMS to determine correct basal rates. It's part of a pilot study to test a new algorithm developed at the University Health Network in Toronto that will help doctors determine the optimal basal insulin rates for an individual. The actual study name is called - <font face="verdana, geneva">Pilot for semi-automated computerized overnight basal rate assessment protocol.[br][br]If you are a Type 1 diabetic - and are interested in participating - go check out the requirments at this link ( </font>http://cctn.jdrf.ca/enrolling.html ). I would try applying, but one of the requirements for being in this study are that you have experienced a blood sugar (BG) reading overnight of 1.7mmol/l ( 30 mg/dl) on at least two occasions in the week prior to enrollment. I luckily haven't had a low like that overnight in many years![br][br]Further contact about this study can be made at: [br]Toronto General Hospital[br]Contact: Andrej Orszag (Study Coordinator)[br]Tel: (416) 340-4800 ext. 7187[br]Email: ][email protected][br][br]
