The Roller Coaster Ride of Diabetes! Whoo! Whoo!

I am a Type 1 diabetic diagnosed back in the early 60's as a child.  I am living in Montreal, Canada and enjoy scribbling about diabetes from time to time. I’ve had my ups / downs just like any person would experience with going through life - diabetic or not.  My motto in life?  Diabetes does not control me – I control it!!

You can find more posts/discussions at my Facebook page called "The Roller Coaster Ride of Diabetes" and also on Twitter under the name of FatCatAnna.  Feel free to follow me at both places or send me a private message!

This is in reply to a discussion at Tudiabetes - about " How often do you eat stuff that's not nutritious? ".

I don't do it too often - but tonight - I'm feeling abit down - because hubby is off in the Isle of Man.  I'm stuck here in Canada - as he paints the scene from his hotel room of canal / sailboats / ocean.  So, the jar of Fluff that I bought back in January of this year when I went for a visit to the USA - was calling me to open it.  My BG was 5 / 90 - so - POP GOES THE LID and next minute (okay seconds) - I'm scoffing down spoonfuls of this stuff.  I have yet to test my blood sugars (BG) to see what the horrible result will be.  My pants have spandex in them, and I feel like a bloated pig (doesn't help that I'm having that "time of the month" thing).

The main thing is that  .... drum roll .... my artwork for Diabetes Art Day is done.  It's not due until next Wednesday, September 1st, butI'll be on holidays for the next 3 weeks on the high seas of Lake Ontario (mini ocean),  therefore I'm having to submit it abit early.  Here's a sneak preview of a picture I took earlier  (may try taking a picture of it outside tomorrow - since I took the shot inside at night).

See, what eating Fluff can do to a childs ... I mean adult's artist side of the sponge brain!!!

Kelly - there is a link associated with the word Fluff in my blog above - highlighted in blue (not sure what colour your screen shows) - if you click on it - it'll take you to the company that manufactures the "marshmallow goop"  along with the history behind it all (manufactured in MA).  I'm always educating the masses about terrible foods aren't I?

I was going to ask you to explain what fluff was for your American friends, but if you bought it here, then I should know what it is!  All I can think of is marshmellow cream or peanut butter.
