The Boston Diabetes EXPO is an event for people living with diabetes and their friends and loved ones. Located at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, the EXPO will be held March 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Healthcare providers, diabetes educators, and people with diabetes will have a chance to mingle, interact, and learn from the knowledge and experiences of others. With resources for managing the physical and emotional aspects of diabetes around every corner, people who stop by will leave feeling refreshed and energized.
Visitors to the EXPO can take advantage of free health screenings provided by Massachusetts Blue Cross Blue Shield. These will include testing for blood glucose, cholesterol, and kidney function. Additional screenings will check dental, oral, eye, and foot health. For those eager to learn more about eating healthy with diabetes, exhibitors will be hosting interactive cooking demonstrations. Tips for maintaining an active lifestyle will be provided through aerobic classes and other exercise examples.
