I want to connect with other people and share real-life frustrations. I'm frustrated by all the educationally-oriented crap that's out there on diabetes and having a hard time finding people to connect with in terms of talking about real-life situations. It's even hard to talk to family and close friends - some of whom don't even know I'm diabetic. There are a lot of daily frustrations I encounter because of the restrictions of this disease. People pushing me to eat a certain way or do things when I know they aren't healthy for me.

Hi Fran! I hear you about the frustrations of isolation. I don't know of any social groups the focus on folks with diabetes, but I think I'd like to see it happening. I think I'd like to be able to talk face to face with other people dealing with this. You obviously don't know of anything like that, and I don't either, so maybe we should make our own :) But just so you know, there are others out here. *wave*
